Does God promise to make us rich?βœοΈπŸ’²

2 Corinthians 12:9 – “But he said to me, β€œMy grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

How to apply this Bible Verse to your life today! βœ…

Don’t forget today God knows everything including the suffering, trials or tribulations you are going through. If you are following God and He is allowing a suffering, trial or tribulation to pass then it has purpose.

You may not see the purpose in the moment but God sees the outcome of this situation, He sees the weakness that is going to be strengthened, the faith that is going to be restored or strengthened, how this will bring you closer to Him. Trust God is allowing this for a reason and do not lean on your own understanding but lean on God’s word.

CAN God make you rich? absolutely. God is capable of literally anything.

But WILL God make you rich? In the Bible God blesses some of His followers with wealth but not all. It is ultimately up to God how much wealth we have:

“You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth”, Deuteronomy 8:18

In Jeremiah 29:11 God promises ‘prosperity’, a lot of people confuse prosperity to mean money, what prosperity actually means is thriving in all things. Of course ‘all things’ includes finances but thriving in finances doesn’t always necessarily mean being rich.

God wants us to be blessed and have sufficiency in all things, from the beginning as it says in Genesis God wants us to be blessed.

Genesis 1:28 – God blessed them [people]. And God said to them, β€œBe fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

I believe God will bless us with wealth if it’s within His will for us and if it will be a BLESSING. Sometimes wealth is not a blessing, sometimes it’s a hindrance. The Bible explains many times money is simply an earthy possession that at times leads people away from God, leads people to sin.

God promises in the Bible He will withhold no good thing, but remember sometimes money and wealth is not a good thing.

If you aren’t rich though or have abundance in finance that doesn’t mean that God isn’t there and God isn’t providing for you. Remember God promises to provide our needs which is food and clothing. Even if we don’t have abundance we do not need to fear, God will provide our basic needs.

Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
